Warranty Information
All products manufactured by Razertip have unconditional warranties that cover everything (and we mean everything!)
Razertip burners - 3 (three) years on the power supply.
Razertip Pens - 1 (one) year on all handpieces, including fixed tips. Even if you drop your pen and break the tip - it's covered!
Re-tipped Pens - The new replacement tip is covered by a full, unconditional 6 (six) month warranty.
Razertip Interchangeable Tips - 90 (ninety) days.
Razaire Mini X60 - 3 (three) years.
Razaire 530 - 5 (five) years on the impeller (fan), 10 (ten) years on all other parts of the power unit.
Products not manufactured by Razertip have limited warranties provided by the manufacturer.
If a fixed tip ever breaks
Our tips are the most durable hot-wire tips for pyrography you can buy. In spite of that, it is possible for them to break or wear out. We do replace broken or worn-out tips. If the pen is less than a year old, tell us so, and we will replace the tip at no charge. If it is over a year old, the tip replacement charge for most Razertip pens is $14.00. For Feather Former tips and for scale tips, it is the cost of a new tip. This includes any taxes and return postage! Please include payment - cheque, money order, or credit card information with the pen. Tip replacement requires only a couple of days in our shop.
Upgrading/exchanging a Razertip fixed tip pen to a Razertip Heavy-duty pen during repair is $20.00.
When returning pens
When returning pens for re-tipping, please return only the pen. Don't send any grips, storage tubes, or anything else. If it can be removed from the pen, remove it before mailing.
Canada:
Do not return foam grips or storage tubes. Simply slide off the foam grip and mail the pen to us in a small padded envelope or between 2 pieces of thin cardboard. We may not return clear storage tubes or bulkier items unless you are willing to pay the additional shipping charges.
USA:
USPS charges around $17.00 for First-Class Package International Service with a weight of up to 1/2lb. As this is an international package, it will also require a Customs form (PS Form 2976), available at your local post office. Simply slide off the foam grip and mail the pen to us in a small padded envelope or between 2 pieces of thin cardboard. We may not return clear storage tubes or bulkier items unless you are willing to pay the additional shipping charges.
Outside Canada & USA:

Re-tipping any brand of hot-wire tool made
With laser-welding, we have the ability to re-tip any brand or make of hot-wire pyrography tool. We offer this service on most brands of pens, including Detail Master, Colwood, Nibs, and Optima.
Colwood, Nibs, Optima, Detail Master and many others:
The cost for re-tipping of Colwood, Nibs and Optima pens is a flat fee of $18.00 - including applicable taxes and return shipping by standard mail.
We stand behind the new tip with a full, unconditional 6-month warranty covering everything, including your satisfaction. You will get a two-day in-shop turnaround and a warranty that's better than your new pen had.
